Default Analog mixers: which kind of equipment for output?

Hello to all,

I'd like to know which kind of equipment is more appropriated for
using as output with a regular analog mixer for the purpose of
monitoring a (little) band rehearsal. Or in a more specific way for
using with the Alesis Multimix Mixers Firewire Series.

I know it as to be powered speakers (or speaker amplifier), powered
monitors or even a PA (or mini-PA) system. Could someone point to
links of such examples in order to understand what are this and also
get information on prices.

Thank you very much in advance

Cheers
