Default Remembering Fred Nachbaur

Hi, Vacuumlanders,
I first posted this on RAR+P but someone said Fred spent more time on
RAT.
So, here it is... again! (Technically, not considered a cross-post...
I hope!)

At the beginning of a New Year I'm thinking it's a good time to
remember a great poster from the past, unfortunately departed from
this mortal coil, the late Fred Nachbaur. He posted to RAT at a
time I was a newbie here under the pseudonym "engineer". I recall he
was unfailingly polite and respectful of others as well as being a
fount of tube knowledge. He left us better for his engagement. I am
not a religious man but I have to say... God bless you and keep you,
Fred. Perhaps others who remember can add to the above.
Here's Fred's website: http://www.dogstar.dantimax.dk/tubestuf/
(courtesy of RAR+P poster MarkS, thanks.)
Cheers,
Roger

Indeed Fred was a true gentleman. He knew his limits, and he didn't
ever think he could never make a mistake. He was prolific with his
efforts. So he could always consider any given idea fairly, and any
different way of doing something.
