Default Reception problem?

You're Chuck Jaeger.

Just broken the sound barrier.

So you can relax now.

And switch on your in-jet stereo...

would you hear anything

No, Chuck Yeager never had an in-jet stereo.

But, if he did, and if the noise was low enough,
he'd have no problem whatsoever. He's traveling
faster than sound relative to the air OUTSIDE his
jet. The air inside his cockpit, relative to him,
is not moving at all.

Oh wow... The speed of sound, c, is added to the speed of the jet, v.
But you don't have to be Chuck. Concorde has been born, flown and
died since then.

Don't you mean "Chuck Yeager"?

None of the "Chuck Jaeger"s I looked at appear to be pilots:

Take a ride on the Concord. Oh, and don't for get that motion is relative

A ride like that will be a bit difficult without a time machine. But
no problem, I'm sure there are some "specialists" at Area 51 who can
help with that minor difficulty.

Yes, you can hear your own farts in space - though it is not
recommended when in a space suit during EVA.
