Default computer audio whine

I have a raidmax case and after having to pull the front off to fix an
intermitting audio out jack, I found the USB and Audio grounds were
tied together on this litle PCB. The PCB has 2 USB and Audio In and
Audio Out jacks. I used a box cutter to cut and isolate grounds. The
forever whine I've heard is completely gone. The audio is so clean I
can't even hear a hiss.

Good show!

Moral of the story is that the chassis (case) wiring of some computer
hardware was designed by absolute idjiots.
