Default New Sony mp3 cd player is way off balance...

I had my Pioneer cd player replaced recently. With a Panasoinc mp3 cd
player. I noticed right away that the right speaker after installation
had the majority of vocals and treble coming out of it. I thought it
was the Panasonic player. So I returned the unit and got the Sony mp3
cd player as a replacement. The problem is the Sony cd player is doing
the same thing. The highs coming out of the right speaker are 40%
higher than the left speaker. It is making my ears plugged. The guy had
to cut off the wires and re-splice all of them before he could put in
the new mp3 player cd player. Is it possible he could have did a bad
job at splicing them? Or maybe my speakers are going out? It seems a
little coincidental for the speakers to go out when I get a new cd
player. Tee clarity on both these new mp3 cd players are much greater
than my old Pioneer deck. Maybe my ears have to adjust? The guy didn't
hear any thing was wrong when asking me why I wanted to swap the
panasonic for a sony.
