Default Seeking sound-file management tool

We are in the process of combing through 33 GB of Alesis HD24 wav files and
eliminate the empty tracks.

Because of the way the unit works--if you create a song with 24 tracks, and
use 2 of them for a duration of 6 minutes, you will still have 24 blank
tracks to download--unless you know which ones you recorded onto.

The only way to figure out which are blank is to open them and look at the
waveform.

Any one here know a preview tool, or some other management utility, that
might be able to analyze the dynamic range of an entire series of files and
tell which are silent?

I've been tooling around on cnet.com with no luck.

We do take notes btw, but not copious, organized, or coherent ones. Thanks,

PK
