Default looks matter, what is the right amp for me?

You wouldnt want to put luggage or any other cargo on top of those subs, as
it would be very easy to damage them from the weight....

Hi everyone, my owner has been posting some Q's here about the
stereo that is going to go into me, but he is clueless. For some
strange reason he cares about what the stereo is going to sound
like! Considering they are going into ME, I care what they LOOK
like. Especially considering he fell in love with me for my looks,
not for what I sound like; I am a diesel for goodness sake!

So, he wants some amps, but I will not let him put any old amp into
me. I insist on them looking like they where always part of me.
Sort of like this:

What I like about this install is that the trunk looks like it wants
to still hold some luggage! I am sure you understand; it is like
when you humans go to a plastic surgeon. You what to come away from
the experience looking better, but still looking natural. That is
all I want, too

I would be happy with the Brax amps, but my owner is not willing to
pay $2160 for the X2400 (4x100) nor $1840 for the X1400 (4x50);
something about keeping his marrage or something.

Can anyone recommend some amps that will fit the look I am after?
Oh, my owner said told me that they better sound good, too.
Otherwise he said he isn't going to buy them. Darn those owners!

It ain't no crack pipe, it is a tail pipe!!!! And if I where to set
mine down, I would most definitely get both myself and my owner in
trouble with the law because of the noise pollution!

Thank you But I am not a man, but a diesel car

anyway checkout the new audiobahn amps , they look awsome!

My owner (EHC) had looked at them before, he had missed the intake
amps, though. EHC liked them from the start, but at first I didn't
know about how to deal with the sides not being straight. Then EHC
suggested that he could build the case around them so that the case
would angle down to show off the sides, but keep things basically
flat.

Now the question is thus: If EHC buys these amps, the A6004T and
A4004T, will he next be faced with a divorce? He will call a dealer
later today to find out prices on the amps.

Carl,

Well, it would not be me puting anything on top of the subs, I lack
hands, but I do have four wheels though

All the same, Carl, you are 100% right. The subs the way Erick
Fitzgerald installed them does not lend themself to having things
placed on top of them. I am going to insist that my owner (EHC)
flush mount the sub so that things will lay flat without touching
the sub.

I have seen that a number of companies makes grills for their subs,
will those grills fit on other subs, too? I do not believe the
manufacture of the subs EHC wants to put in me make grills for their
subs, or at least he has not seen any on the companies web site.

Excellent technique Eddie ! Saves time.

However, in this case, since it is a bug, wouldn't it be better to
just squish it, as opposed to wasting good ammunition ?

Bob,

For most normal bugs squishing would do the trick, but I am not just
a beetle, but a New Beetle. I can squish you humans real good,
especially when doing 100+ mph. Personally, I think that if Eddie
wants to bring my existence to an end, that shooting is a far safer
way of doing it

Well, in your old age, you seem to be just calling the police while you
watch it go down on the installer cam.

Did you ever get any video from that?

Yes I got the video, I gave a copy of it to the news media
Fox and 3 of the other channels ran my video locally here in Houston...

I will let someone put the video on the Teamrocs.com website...

It was 5AM, I had my M1Carbine loaded and ready as I was
speeding up here getting dressed while driving... I am glad the
cops beat me to the shop to deal with the bad guys, I was
not in a good mood at the time..

Last time I shot someone I was in a bad mood that morning because
one of my installers overslept and I was installing the CD changer
he should have been doing....

Sounds like you might be a good fit for the autotek stealth or the
soundstream tarantula. They are made to be flushed mounted flat. For
subs pick whatever brand suits you and use a nice grill over the subs,
maybe the mesh kind. Grill brand should not matter. How much space do
"you" have for the sub? On another topic this is not role playing 101,
eh?

Neither my owner (EHC) nor I see the soundstream tarantula on their
web site.

We both tried to get to autotek website, but it seems to be down.
We found companies selling the amps, but if the site is down, EHC is
thinking that the company might be going belly-up. Do you know
anything about that?

Oh, EHC has picked out the amp, has not bought it yet, but he knows
what he is getting He wants it to match the rest of the speakers
in me, which I am in agreement with. They are Boston Acoustic
ProSeries. The sub will be a 12".
