Typically, discussion groups are NOT chartered for sales.
That is why there are "marketplace" groups such as:
news:rec.audio.marketplace
There are also places like eBay and Craig's List, et.al.

OTOH, You demonstrate good "netiquitte" by asking first.

It's allowed in the group's faq. Post FS at the front of your post so
people who aren't interested in the ads can filter them out.

The rude reply is actually Brian L. McCarty, who has been stealing the

For the most part, while sales are permitted here, the folks here tend to
be notorious cheapskates. It's worth posting something here, but you will
often do better in r.m.m.
