If you tried the original manufacture's parts department, if your player is
supported, they most likely can supply you the parts.

Begs the question, why bother repairing when effective replacements are so
inexpensive?

When the CD player is part of an integrated stereo system, expensive boom
box or it is a more expensive CD player.... then the repair can be
economically feasible for the customer. Since the decline of VCR repairs a
few years ago my shop has seen an increase in CD repairs.

Some CD-players are actually well-made and worth repairing. Especially
the CDM-1 through 4 mechanisms are not too bad.
