Default [OT] Fox News Sucks up to Drug Lord Aribe

http://www.colombiajournal.org/colombia185.htm

It's funny watching Fox News adorations of Cocaine smuggler, and human
rights abuser Alvaro Uribe.

No tough questions. No mention of his history.

A straight propaganda show.

almost as good as their Israel special that didn't mention once the
"Oslo Accord" or that the assasination of Rabin was carried out by
Zionist extremists.

And people call this news in America? What a joke.

U.S. Army Lt. Gen. James T. Hill, for example, recently told a Senate
committee, "It would be a terrible loss if democracy failed in Colombia.
You need to let me get on the ground."

Why? Is it harvest time already?

I don't know who are you, but I was born in Colombia from Colombian parents
and I can tell you that site is one of the most distorted things I've read
about Colombia. I should know... my parents were once youngsters seduced by
the leftist rebellion...

If you read the "history" section you might walk away thinking the FARC are
the heros of the landless peasants and the only problems are paramilitary
guerrillas and US intervention. It makes me ill to think that someone could
take that as the truth instead of realizing all the damage the marxist
bull**** did to my country and countless others.

You want objectivity? Better start diggin deeper than your one sided
sources. Though that would probably not serve your agenda...

Hey Will, I have NEVER attacked you, in anyway.
I'm bi-polar! If I don't "stay on my meds", Will, I might be in bed, in a
fetal position and that's just the depressed part. I won't even get into the
manic part.
A very low blow Will, you don't have a clue!

Don't worry Nick, Miho is an equal opportunity insulter.

Just picks names out at random? I guess I'm honored.

My first thought was that someone was posting messages in my name. I've
seen that happen to others and I noted that no other poster denied being me.
The other possibility was that there's actually someone else with the same
name. That'd be pretty amazing. Delonas is an unusual surname. In my
heritage, it was contrived at Ellis Island from a longer Lithuanian name.
I've since learned it is also a Greek name, though still quite uncommon.

Anyway, this incident brought me back to RAP after an extended absence.
I've been having fun reading posts by some of the regulars. It's good to
see many of the same names.

I take your point, but I am not the only regular here to make such a
comment, many have done so when they wish to express the concept that someone's
emotionality is surpassing their sense of reason and balance.

The only kind of interview that Nick would have found sufficient would
have been one of his leftist Marxist rants, and there is no way that the
President of any Nation would be treated on such a disrespectful manner. So I
was responding in kind (and I in fact recorded that interview.)

President Uribe has done a remarkable job of cleaning up corruption in the
Colombian Government, he has brought in massive reinvestment from American
Companies which is impossible when all a companies workers could be kidnapped
as was the situation not so long ago, and he has 80% support of the Colombian
people.

To insult the man as per Nick's desire would have been to insult all of
the Country of Colombia.
