Metal-cased 6L6 tubes
Hello RATs,
What is the real deal with the metal encased 6L6 (and type 1622, et al) tubes? It does not seem as if there is the physical space for the plate structure and etc. of a glass-bulb unit. Are these metal counterparts really counterparts? Best regards, Ernst |

They have a 19W plate dissapation rating, and a lower plate voltage rating like the 6L6G, and 6L6GB. So yes, they are equal to 6L6G, but do not use them in place of 6L6GC or you will get in trouble. Best regards, Ernst |
