I'm new to home recording.

hoping to purchase digital multitrack recorder.

have seen zoom mrs802cd for £299.00.

is this the best for the money? or are there others out there?

would love to have some feedback.

Units such as the zoom are nice for their simplicity and all-in-one
design but they lack the flexibility of buying an open-ended system
with software. It really depends on how far you want to go with your
recording. A computer and audio software may cost you more but it will
allow you the option of almost unlimited upgrades, add-ons, loops,
plug-ins, etc. Are you committed to this particular type of unit and
price point or still looking?
