FRAUD WARNING!

This thing is NOT mint. It's a piece of estate sale trash, complete
with rust and gunk, gotten by Charlie Nudo, aka 66fourdoor on eBay, aka
akaim8 on Audiogon, to turn around quick for a HUGE profit. It didn't
work, so he picked the brains of various radiomen over in
rec.antique.radio+phono to get it to barely scrape by. He put fake
Russian 7591s in it to get it going, along with some other tubes and a
few cheap caps and resistors. He has NO electronic knowledge, NO
service background, nothing...this is a scam, plain and simple

You want message IDs or a link to the NG? I'd assume you could get to
the NG on your own, but....

http://groups.google.com/group/rec.antiques.radio+phono?hl=en

....and browse anything having to do with "CAINE" and "Fisher 500C". If
you want to do some more research on this con artists, browse the email
addys:

You should be able to establish a pretty good pattern of behavior with
those.

Cracking veneer and rust on chassis and an incompetent eBay scammer
equals a $600 doorstop.
