Hi,

I'm looking at putting the above mentioned unit in my car over the
next couple weeks. I'm a college student and just want something that
has the capability of playing CD's and MP3's. This unit is fairly
inexpensive and fits within my budget. Just wondering if anyone has
any good or bad experiences with it.

i just got it installed and love it, let me know if you lose AM
recpetion after it is installed. i did (2001 honda Civic)

i just got it installed and love it, let me know if you lose AM
recpetion after it is installed. i did (2001 honda Civic)

Did you connect the power antenna lead? The same thing happened
to me when I put a DEH-5500MP in my '04 Accord. Once the antenna
was powered, AM was back.

I would get the Sony over the pioneer ,cdx F5700 I believe,has hp,lp,3 pre
outs,sounds very good.Has an ugly face but otherwise cant beat it for the
money....

It's typically the blue wire coming from the stereo. On some
cars this wire causes a power antenna to raise when the radio is
on, and in others, like mine where the antenna is in the
windshield, it powers the car's antenna amplifier.

Its been a while, but I think the wire on the harness adapter I
used (Metra 99-7862) was called out as pwr-ant or something like
that.
