Default Audiobahn Phase Shift Controller

Has anyone had experience with this unit? Model number is APS10X. What I am
trying to do is get better imaging in my Civic. I find that when I reverse
the polarity of one of my mids, imaging improves. It introduces some other
problems like cancellation and whatnot. However, the improvement in
imaging offsets the problems. I was wondering if using a phase shift of
less than 180 degrees or more towards 360 may make a difference - a
compromise between good imaging and minimizing the minor problems. I know
time alignment, phase shift, and polarity are different things, but
related. I would dearly love to get me one of those PXA-H900, but I can't
afford it. The Audiobahn Phase Shift Controller is like 110 bucks. Any
thoughts would be appreciated. I know just enough to be a danger to
myself!
