you mean the MD-421 ?


start by prying up the plastic thingie the covers the switch. set screw is
underneath.

No its older brother, the MD-21. No switch.

Good question. I've been wondering the same thing. The one I have has
two very small spots, smaller than the head of a pin, on the left and
right side of the grill. I suspect that they need to be pressed in to
remove the screen but I've never tried.

Ask Sennheiser! - I'd expect a concealed screw that locks the rear part
in place, unscrew and it ought to be possible to pull it out. I would
not have any expectations on whether the screw is righthanded or
lefthanded ....
