Would some of you guys break down the merits of differences and weaknesses
etc.. from your experiance with sub boxes.
It's alot to digest bandpass, enclosed, ported, .... any descriptions of

Bandpass - Sealed in back and ported in front. It has the qualities of
a ported enclosure but it can also produce freuqncies lower than the
port tuning. They're big and they need to be tuned properly.

Can also be ported in the front AND the back. Just a different design. But
will still be big and need to be tuned properly.

The bandpass box lets you effectively change woofer parameters. The box
can be designed to change effeciency, bandpass, and Q. This gives the opportunity
to get results unthinkable with the other boxes. So, a bandpass has no paticular sound quality,
because it will vary to the design in mind.

True, but all we said was it was more critical to tune a BP properly than a
ported or sealed enclosure and that they are genarally larger than a vented
or sealed enclosure.
