Does the box really matter?
Contact sony and find out the correct enclosure volume for the sub. This
should be given to you in cubic feet. Buy or build a box to the correct volume if your current box isn't the correct volume. The shape doesn't matter, only that the sub is in an enclosure of the correct volume for the specific type of enclosure (sealed, ported, bandpass, etc) "Carl Saiyed" wrote in message news:3f15ee8a$1_3@newsfeed... I have a 12" Sony Xplod sub, with an 800 watt Pioneer amp. The sub is currently mounted in a wedge-style box because that is all that would fit in my old car. Such is not the case with my new car. If I switch to a full-size box, will my sound quality improve? Will the sub hit harder? TIA Carl Saiyed --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Yes but thats only part of it. you need a decent low pass active
crossover and go from there. Garrett Carl Saiyed wrote: I have a 12" Sony Xplod sub, with an 800 watt Pioneer amp.
