Default Making insert cables from a trs to trs cable and ts jacks?

Making insert cables from a trs to trs cable and ts jacks? Does anyone
have any information on how this is done(links to pictures and diagrams
would be ideal) and do i need balanced trs cables, cheers in advance.

There is almost certainly a discussion of insert cables on the Rane
website. Otherwise you can buy a commercial one and ring it out, if
the configuration is non-obvious.

website. Otherwise you can buy a commercial one and ring it out, if
the configuration is non-obvious.

Bad idea.

Better to use TS to TS cables and a TRS jack.

Many consoles that have inserts have instructions on how an insert cable is
made in their instructions. I think tha both Behringer and Mackie have
appropriate manuals for download on their web sites.

"Ring-out" was a term used by our grandfather's
generation for tracing circuits long before it became
a term for equalizing/feedback mitigation, etc.
But you knew that.
