Default new issue - maybe some of you guys have solved this problem

looking for some of those now - or some 74 minute CDs. Meanwhile, I got
disgusted and went out and bought a little box made by ProSonus, called an
Inspire 1394 - it has a pair of RCA jacks, a pair of XLR mic jacks and a
pair of 1/4 phone jacks (for guitar, etc) and a firewire interface to the
computer - that (and carrying my RTR deck into the computer room) is letting
me at least move the RTR tapes onto hard disk (and presumably thence to
CDs) - it comes with pretty fancy mixing software with all sorts of features
for mixing music - maybe I'll have to try playing with it.

I have a TASCAM CDRW-5000 that I use to make CDs from
other media (right now, from RTR tapes) - and I can't
find any CD media that it will work with any more - it
works fine with older media but I just used up my last
old CD - now what? any clues?

Two words:

Taiyo Yuden

Even though your burner is supposed to work with data CDs such as
computers
use, you may find that it works better with music CDs, as they are
designed
for burning at low speeds.
