Mastering for live performance tracks?
I use pre-recorded music tracks for certain instruments / effects during live performance. I know playing from a CD will not have the same audio effect like live music, but sometimes we have no choice. Here are my questions: 1. What would be the best way to get the best sound effects from a CD for live performances? 2. I don't master the music tracks which I use in performances. Is it really necessary to do so? I am of the opinion that mastering may make the tracks sound very CD-ish... Thanks in advance, folks, for your inputs. --B11 |

What does "mastering" mean to you? Because it sounds to me like it means something very different than what it means to us. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |
