mini cd in car?
question, I have a mini cd and want to play it in my car (yes I can
easily copy its contents onto a regualr size, i realize that's an option so please dont suggest that). My car cd player is one where no tray comes out, I just slide the disc into the thin slot and it pulls it in. I fear if I slide a mini disc in it may get stuck there so I dont even want to try. Does anyone know about such players and using mini discs in them? |

Does anyone know about such players and using mini discs in them? Some of them will play CD3 discs, some will not. Read the manual and they will specifically mention it if they are able to deal with them. I know the 1U rackmount Sony player, which is based on a car transport, has no problem with CD3 discs. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |

Since you already figured that out before stupidly putting one in, the fact that you're posting hoping someone will have a magical solution for you is somewhat amusing. Sheesh, can't you just answer the question without the personal attacks? |

In article .com, says... question, I have a mini cd and want to play it in my car (yes I can easily copy its contents onto a regualr size, i realize that's an option so please dont suggest that). Adapter rings that fit around the mini cd are available at your local record store. They work. Chewy |

In article et,

Adapter rings that fit around the mini cd are available at your local record store. They work. I would NOT stick one of those things in a flush-mount CD player. Have you actually tried it? They're not designed for that purpose, they're designed for adapting for tray-mount CD players without a 3" hole in the tray (very few tray-loading players don't have a hole for holding 3" CDs either) |

If that's what you consider to be a 'personal attack' egregious enough to warrant you sticking your brown nose into the matter, you probably burst into tears upon being bitten by a mosquito. |

Y'all are welcome to worry... but it's never been a problem in my car.
It's never been much of an issue, either. And Mike, it's not nice to call people stupid, directly or by implication. Chewy. |

OK I won't, but I will inform you that that is your ONLY option. My car cd player is one where no tray comes out, I just slide the disc into the thin slot and it pulls it in. I fear if I slide a mini disc in it may get stuck there so I dont even want to try. It doesn't get 'stuck' its simply too small to clear the unit when ejected, so there is nothing for your little fingies to grab onto and pull it out. Does anyone know about such players and using mini discs in them? Yeah, they'll play just fine, but good luck getting them out. Since you already figured that out before stupidly putting one in, the fact that you're posting hoping someone will have a magical solution for you is somewhat amusing. whats the matter, mommy and daddy not show you enough attention? take your fingers off the keyboard and put them back in your mouth now you ****ing douche You're an idiot troll. Bugger off. Graham |

To not consider risks when using something in a way that it wasn't designed to be used (or which MAY NOT be something the manufacturer ever thought about) is just plain stupid, stupid. Call me impolite if that makes you feel better, but it's the truth. Yeah, but it MAY HAVE, as well. Not that it matters... I was just answering a question. I wouldn't argue against your advice; it makes practical sense. And yes, you were impolite; but then again, from what I've read over the years you appear to like banjos as well, which explains a lot. And that's the truth, too... I stop with this here. Chewy |
