Default orange drop cap touches 12axy base

This is the inside of my mesa boogie quad preamp so it built that way by
the factory in 1989. I have just acquired the unit used and while
retubing noticed this is the case on three caps and tubes. Hasn't
failed yet, though I don't know how many hours that is. Should I get
some extension sockets to lift those three tubes up past the caps?

thanks
