Have a TV with a door on the cupboard beneath . None of my Remote will work
through the door to control the dvd etc housed inside it.. Does anyone make
a small sender that will clip inside the door and relay remote command from
the other side? Dont want to use a video sender just a small clever device
to channel the signals.

radio shack sells a remote extender that'll work. It's mean for
controlling a system in another room, but it'll also work for your
application. Put the transmitting unit in view, and the receiving unit
somewhere inside the cabinet. It's overkill, but effective.

you can also find similar units on ebay.
