compact digital voice recorder with >3 hrs memory at high quality?
Hi all,
Here I am looking for a compact digital VR which could hold more than 3 hrs of data in a generic format like mp3 which could be *reliably* converted into print. Removable storage media is a must in case I run out of memory in the middle of a meeting. Othertwise, I don't need add-on cool stuff like stereo mp3 players, flashing lcd displays, etc., The price is not a big issue. I did perform a google search, and Olymus DS 3000 looks attractive, but... They say it holds up to 3000 min; is the quality good enough to be reliably transribed? I don't have any experience with VR at all. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance, runnerXCskier |

Buying a digiVR is all very well, but your question falls down when you=20
say *reliably*! (your emphasis) Voice recognition still isn't really that reliable, although if you're=20 only using it in meetings then background noise shouldn't be an issue,=20 in which case you could have a PC transcribe it for you...should produce = a few good laughs as well! If your budget's tight then you could just look for an MP3 player with a = built-in voice recorder. I've seen one without removable storage for =A37= 0=20 that claims to store 4.5hrs of voice, but if you need one with mem cards = then it'll probably cost =A3100+. The Olympus appears to be one of the best on the market, and if you're=20 going to have it all typed up by hand, then the recognition problem is=20 irrelevant. Hope this helps, Allan Lewis. revyakin wrote: Hi all, =20 Here I am looking for a compact digital VR which could hold more than 3 hrs of data in a generic format like mp3 which could be *reliably* converted into print.
