Mullard EL34 Type 1's Made in Holland 1950's
So, there I am scrounging around in Mom's basement. I come across a
kit amp that sat on a basement shelf for several decades. From it, I pull two quite pristine Mullard EL34 Type 1's w/ metal bases. They are clearly labeled "Made in Holland." I know that my late father had very little use on this amplifier, and the condition of the tubes (visually) reflect that. I don't have a tube tester myself, so I don't have numbers. In any case, I do some browsing and come across the following website (http://www.kcanostubes.com/) which show similar or same tubes for sale for $850. Seems a little extreme, but what do I know. So the question is, what are these puppies really worth? Can anyone provide any wisdom on these Mullards? |
