Default Proton D1200 "Power On Demand" 100W Power Amp

For sale, check out high resolution pictures at:
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/ele/195619843.html
This high current power amplifier is in excellent condition. All lights burn
bright, all gauges work, and the protection light works and function
perfectly This amp thumps with such depth, clarity and stability it will
make you rethink what good sound really is. It is probably the best 100 watt
amp ever made (audiophiles are still using, buying and talking on there
sites about them). It has the Proton patent of Dynamic Power on Demand with
allows the extreme high of up to 1800watts into loads as low as 2 ohms with
pure stability. When listening to a CD with this amp it allows you to hear
the music as it was intended, extreme bass and highs with extremely clear
peaks giving such depth to the music it is like hearing it again for the
first time. This amp has 4 huge capacitors and is designed to be bridgeable.
I have so much respect for the power these amps my hands still sweat when
hooking one up. Original stickers warn of possible destruction of your audio
equipment and loud speakers. You can feel the power just picking it up and
hear it in your body when blasting one.
The D1200 Power Amplifier was tested by Stereo Review. They proclaimed it to
be "the loudest 100 watts they ever heard!" It is a dual mono construction
amp meaning it has separate power supplies for each channel, left and right.
The power is rated at 100 watts, but with the "Power On Demand" feature,
this amp has 7.3db of headroom and can hit over 500 watts on short peaks
into 8ohms! Signal noise is about 120db and the distortion is less than .02%

Audio Review.com states, "The D1200 has become quite a find since you rarely
see them for sale and when you do, they can go for quite a penny. I've seen
one that sold on Ebay for what it cost new, $700."
It has gold tip RCA connectors. Connect to your speakers either via banana
clips or bare wire.
The Proton D1200 is an immensely powerful power amp. It is conservatively
rated at 100 watts per channel RMS from 20 to 20,000Hz with no more than
0.02% total harmonic distortion. Dynamic power (power when playing actual
music), thanks to headroom of 7.3dB, is rated as follows:
IHF Standard 20ms duration:
540W (8 ohms)
1000W (4 ohms)
1500W (2 ohms)
100ms duration:
450W (8 ohms)
650W (4 ohms)
800W (2 ohms)
200ms duration:
380W (8 ohms)
500W (4 ohms)
520W (2 ohms)
Some of its features:
Large lighted meters
Protection circuit (with indicator)
Dimensions:
Width: 16-1/2"
Depth: 14-3/8"
Height: 4-3/4"
