Help on Sub Choice
Hi- I just bought an Obcon sealed box(the ss series) that holds 2 10's,
and I will be powering them with a bazooka EL1500, 500 watts RMS into a 2 ohm load. My question is, since I can'y really use DVC subs because of the ohm load I want the amp to see, what single VC 10" subs would you recommend for Sound Quality. Tight and clean is what I'm looking for. I've been looking at the Infinity 1030w and the Punch Stage 2, but I'm still up in the air. Any suggestions? Thanks! Matt PS- The obcon box BTW is incredible...anyone in the market for a sealed box should check them out. |

Scott- The interior of the box is .66 per chamber. It's pretty small.
I didn't even think about the DVC 2ohm and 8ohm configurations. I'm trying to keep it at $100 per sub as the max. Freaky output is not what I'm interested in...just tight and accurate with the "ability" to get and stay louder than you would normally want to listen to it for extended periods of time. What do you think? Thanks for the reply...Matt |
