Default Spark plug noise through antenna - '06 Silverado

Hi folks:

I just purchased an '06 Chevy Silverado, and I'm running into a
problem with spark plug noise coming through the AM radio's
antenna. I can tell that it's only coming through the antenna
because the noise disappears when I unplug the antenna wire from the
back of the radio, and also when I remove the antenna from its base.
Of course, the noise also disappears when I turn off the engine,
too.

I also can tell it's coming from the spark plug / wires / coils area
because I hear the same noise when I use a portable AM radio as a test
radio as I move it around the engine while it's running.

Here is what I've done so far to try to eliminate the problem:

1) Changed plugs from AC Delco 41-985 to Champions, and then to NGK's,
and back to brand new AC Delco 41-985. No change.

2) Replaced spark plug wires with brand new AC Delco premium wires.
No change.

3) Cleaned grounds from engine block to firewall, and from firewall to
hood. No change.

So, now I'm at a loss. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your time.

Is the antenna loose at the base, it may be a bad ground at the antenna

It's on very tight, although I did notice the antenna base is screwed
onto painted metal. Maybe I should scrape way the paint to provide
more bare metal contact?
