Kenwood back-door code...
Hi all. Recently purchased an '05 Civic with a Kenwood KDC-MP4028
installed. Pressed the little reset button on the front and now it asks for the security code... bought it off the dealer, so I am unable to contact the original owner. I have heard that there is a closely- guarded security code for most late model Kenwood decks with this feature. Does anyone have access to this information? I would really rather not send the deck in to Kenwood. Just bought the car last week, I can prove that in case anyone is wondering... I know a lot of people ask this after having stolen a deck. Really, what is the point when the deck is stolen and the damage is done - it's not going to deter anyone from stealing a deck or breaking in to your car in the first place! (I thought that was what removable faceplates are for?) And why do they put a reset button on the front of the deck? Silly... someone with brains needs to design a deck without millions of stupid buttons that do the opposite of what you'd think they would do. |

Kenwood back-door code...
No I am smart enough to use Google if I'm smart enough to come on to
Google Groups Those suggestions don't work on most newer Kenwoods except the flip- ups. On May 20, 10:12 pm, I. Care wrote: In article 9413c53f-4bd5-46c8-a104- , says... Hi all. If so did you try the several options listed here? http://www.fixya.com/support/t188304-forgot_code -- I. Care Address fake until the SPAM goes away ;-} |
