Default Looking back: experiences in factories

I ahve worked in electronics factories. Vinylsnatch may have VISITED
them, maybe ****ter drove by one once or twice, but I have worked in
them. That is something they can't understand.

Some experiences:

Watching women work in sleeveless blouses or tank tops tinning leaded
parts in a solder pot (you know, a lead melting thing you use for
making fishing sinkers or bullets or what have you.) and pointing out
to the Lead Assembler that if any moisture or sticky whatever's on
that part the assembleress could be spattered by molten solder. Two
hours later being called up to the Plant Supervisor and bitched out
for "wandering through departments". ((My job then WAS, in essence,
wandering through departments..)) Seems the old bitch was not going
to have any swinging dick tell HER "Ladies" what to wear to work! Old
Bitch was riding Plant Supervisor cock, I later found out. A year
after I left that ****pit some ollie assembleress stuck the end of a
contact-fingered board in the solder pot and got splattered good. She
sued. By the time I found out and called her attorney in hopes I could
testify (for free and at my expense) in her behalf they'd already
settled.

Two Black technicians hired in what was obviously affirmative action.
One was a good tech and an asset to the company. The other was nice
enough but had the cognitive power of a rutabaga. He blew up a $16,000
network analyzer by keying a 500 watt transmitter into each of the
four ports in succession in an attempt to see if it was putting out
RF. They promoted him into the upstairs office and created a job just
for him.

There are hundreds of such war stories you learn by being in
Manufacturing, but the notions of Journalism and Anthropology majors
and lawyers and the occasional doctor are much more important to the
Vinylsnatches than what anyone who has actually manufactured something
think. It's not just Vinylsnatch, it's this whole ****ed up industry.
They are interested in worshipping big dicks. Not technical concepts.
