I'm looking for the stylus for this turntable. Mine is the non-universal
type. I think the cartridge is a Shure OEM but a V15 type II does not seem
to work properly. I have the service manual which is usless as it shows
"SLT" on the stylus.

Anyone know the correct stylus for this turntable?

Thanks for your reply. The unit pictured is the SLT-12U. The Empire 880
was a recommended option for the U = Universal mount. The non-U has a
permenent mounted cartridge body. I tried to take apart but it is glued in
place. I may try to find an SLT-12 U for parts and replace my arm with the
universal arm unless I can identify the OEM cartridge.

The cart seems to have a golden body with a red tip and looks very much
like
an Empire 880, not a Shure V15.

Can you precisely describe the cart fitted to your SLT 12?
