Default maudio mobile usb vs. firewire

Hi everyone, ive been looking into two different units from
maudio...one is the mobilepre usb and the other is the firewire
solo...does anyone have any experience with the firewire unit? i was
leaning towards it thinking there may be less latency due to more
bandwidth..only drawback is that it only has 1 xlr input as opposed to
the 'pre which has two...im using this with a mac powerbook g4.

thanks for any info!
