I would like to sell a dynaco 160. But there is almost nothing to find
about this amplifier on the internet.Can anyone tell me somthing more
about this device/ and his price(second hand ) because i would like to
sell it.
Can anyone deliver me some original documantation.

From what I remember, the Dynaco ST-160 was an 80 Watt/Channel tube amplifier
made by the "New" Dynaco in the mid 90's (nothing really to do with the
original David Hafler Dynaco except that the "new" company bought Dynaco's
name and assets and re-introduced some of the original company's products
(like the Stereo 70 amplifier). Since the amp is tube and has the Dynaco
name, it should be easy to sell at top dollar. Used tube amps seem to usually
hold their value far better than do used transistor amps (there are
exceptions, of course). If you want info for this amp. Go to:

They say that they have sales brochures, schematics, owner's manuals, and
service manuals for this amp. Of course, they want money for these things,
but if they actually have them, it might be worth it.

Well, I can't put an actual dollar figure on the amp. When I said "top
dollar" I was referring to the fact that next to an 80 Watt/channel
transistor amp of the same vintage, that the ST-160 would be worth a lot
more.

I suspect the lack of info available for the amp might have something to do
with the fact that it was probably expensive when new, the "New Dynaco"
didn't last very long as a company, and I suspect not many were sold. I
remember at the time being somewhat flabbergasted by the price of their
re-introduced Stereo 70 amp (tube, 35 WPC) which was IIRC, about US$2000. The
original was less than US$100 built and only about US$60 as a kit.
