Default Olympus Digital Voice Recording

I recently was given an Olympus Digital Voice Recorder (model VN-1000)
by my college coach, but she didn't give me the manual to go with it.
I am wondering if there is a way to draw the voice recording off of the
recorder and save it on a file on my computer. The tech guys at
Olympus say there isn't a direct pc connector with this model. Is
there any other way to draw these files from the device to a computer?
Maybe some round about way? Thanks!

Each recording should be roughly 10 minutes, with the possibility of up
to 45 minutes. One note: There is LOTS of ambient noise which is
valuable in the recording, but not necessary

I said microphone, but the earphone jack should be used.
You need a mono to stereo 3.5 mm jack into the PC recorder.
The olympus has had some sort of noise rejection capabilities.

How primitive. Have you never heard of a "P A T C H C O R D"?
Take the headphone output of the DVR and connect to the line input
of the sound card.
