I'm considering a Bryston 3B with only RCA in's and my console (D&R Orion)
has both 1/4' and XLR out's. Will just using 1/4" to RCA cables cause any
problems? Should I use a direct box to unbalance the run at the amp?
Transformers?


Just plug through using a mono 1/4" plug to RCA.

Not if you're careful about grounding.

Not that either.

Don't worry about it until you find out that it doesn't work. It
almost certainly will work. Hope your amplifier has an input level
control on it though. Otherwise your console's monitor level pot will
have to be set mighty low.
