Default 60 hz hum

bloglo globulo wrote:

last week, we got on a gig. I plugged my 40 watt fender tube combo and there
was a very loud 60hz hum thru my lespaul guitar. I tried switching the
ground. I even tried a ground lift (very dangerous i know) but still, the
hum was there

is there any gizmo or device that can help that ?

Depends where it's coming from. Got any dimmers, touch lamps, or neon
signs spewing out RF trash?

Does it change when you move around?

Does it go away when you unplug the guitar cable from the amp or does it
stay even with nothing plugged into the input?
