Feedback on Vegas and T-racks
I'm interested in any feedback about
using Vegas for audio recording. Also suggestions for a mastering software other than T-racks Thanks |

Feedback on Vegas and T-racks
I use Vegas all the time for tracking live shows-i've never had it
crash and it's very simple to use. I've done quite a few shows at 24bit/44.1 16-24 tracks for 1-3 hours at a time....if you turn off all the graphic rendering and peak file building it's amazingly efficient-no real MIDI functions to clutter up the interface if you don't need em. And the broadcast waves can be taken into any other multitrack software.... |

Feedback on Vegas and T-racks
Can't tell you about Vegas, but T-Racks is a good deal and great value
for the money. Other possibilities may be the Waves Bundle, BBE Sonic Maximizer, or the stuff by PSP, especially Vintage Warmer is great. Sonic Timeworks has a nice mastering compressor and mastering EQ to offer. kubi John Isaminger wrote in message ... I'm interested in any feedback about using Vegas for audio recording. Feedback on Vegas and T-racks
From: John Isaminger Date: 7/10/2003 6:19 AM Eastern Daylight Time Message-id: I'm interested in any feedback about using Vegas for audio recording. Also suggestions for a mastering software other than T-racks Thanks I asked your mastering software question a while back. I was pointed in the direction of something called Isotope or Ozone or some chemical sounding name. I didn't like the interface as much as T-Racks, but it certainly is more flexible. Now that T-Racks can handle my 24 bit mixes though, I like it a tad more. The first version was limited to 16 bit files. I used Vegas for about 2 years (versions one and two). I've since switched to sonar, and there's no looking back. It's not as easy to use out of the box, but it is 100 times more powerful. Super mixing engine. The grouping of faders and automation is so effortless. I'm still basically getting used to it though, so I'm sure I'll find a flaw sooner or later. -John |
