Default Re-stringing tuner dial....UGH !!

My Sansui is, admittedly, solid state, and yes, this is a Tube Audio
forum.....However, I ask your indulgence with a question, please. Btw,
I do have a fair amount of tube gear, but this time, it's ss.

Ok...my Sansui 3000a receiver is circa 1970 or so.....good build for
it's time. My problem is that the tuner string broke. It's still
threaded through the pulleys/flywheel but now is juuuuust too short to
work, so I need a new string. I've inquired locally and gotten mostly
blank stares in return. I then turned to Google and to my
surprise.....didn't find much at all! Just a few tales of woe like
mine, but not many solutions.

I just need a source for the string, if anyone can help me out......

Thanks in advance !! : )........

No wonder you didn't find anything, if you searched for
"tuner string." ;-) It's "dial cord." Here, check this out:

Hi RATs!

www.tubesandmore.com

The tube radio dial cords sound better than the SS radio dial cords ...

Unfortunately, most of the voices on radio these days think Lord Valve
is witty

Even worse, only I think I am ... but I bottom post to prove it doesn't
have to hurt to learn

Happy Ears!
Al
