Probably wrong group with so many audiophiles around...
I know I broke the rules for quality, but not being an audiophile, I
converted an entire library of music many moons ago downloaded through Napster when it was free and other file sharing progs - to WMA, from MP3. Microsoft had a free converter and the size difference meant I could put a lot of songs on a CD (did not have a DVD burner then).. In any event I have tried converting the songs back up to MP3 as my car stereo can now play MP3, but it sounds bad. What works good is an old program called messer memo where it captures audio played through the soundcard in plain WAV or MP3 - but this is very slow. I suppose I should be happy that at least the sound to my ear is good using WMA - but converting back to MP3 I guess I am stuck with an analog to MP3 conversion now for any quality? thoughts. thanx |
