Default [?] Looking for a portable solid-state stereo tape recorder

Hi..

Does anyone in this NG know who might be already producing a small,
portable, solid-state stereo tape recorder that has REMOVABLE flash
memory?

I've looked at the Sony ST10 for example, which is a nice looking
device, BUT its memory is internal. This means that after making a
recording the machine itself has to be physically transported back to
wherever the replay and archive recording needs to be done. For someone
who is 'on the road' for days on end this would be an unworkable
situation.

I'd like to find a small stereo recorder which uses removable flash
cards, maybe similar to those used in digital cameras so that, after
each particular recording has been made, the memory card can be removed
from it and mailed back to base. The recorder could then have a new
flash card inserted and be immediately available to carry on with the
next recording job.

Basic requirement is:-

Physically small in size (maybe 2.5" x 2.5" x 0.5")
Two audio speech channels (stereo),
Freq. response to around 7.5KHz only (i.e: just for speech).
Date/time recording would be VERY useful but is not essential.
Replay capability using the recorder itself is NOT necessary.
The unit must be battery powered (prefer AA or AAA cells).

Has anyone any knowledge about where such a recorder might be found?
All constructive suggestions will be most welcome.

TIA - David Chapman
