Behringer UCA202 USB adapter
I purchased a Behringer UCA-202 USB adapter. I'm using windows XP and
Cool Edit. Using 3 seperate computers I cannot record into any computer. However playback does work. I've checked and rechecked all the audio settings both in the control panel and on my sound Blaster Audigy 2 panel. When record is selected, the "OK" is grayed out. I tried another brand of USB adapter on these computers and the same thing. I'm told no drivers are necessary because it is a USB Audio Codec which windows recognizes. Any clues? |

I've checked and rechecked all the audio settings both in the control panel and on my sound Blaster Audigy 2 panel. Why are you trying to control the little Behr with competitive software? When record is selected, the "OK" is grayed out. What OK? I tried another brand of USB adapter on these computers and the same thing. Uninstall the Audigy software and see what happens. I'm told no drivers are necessary because it is a USB Audio Codec which windows recognizes. This is true. |

Sounds and Audio Devices 3. Select the "Audio" tab 4. You can select the default Playback and Record devices here. Obviously, select your USB device. 5. Click "Apply" Mark Z. |

With RealProducer I also had to raise the priority
to high, so that it didn't lose sync and start encoding garbage after a while. -- On the internet, nobody knows you're a jerk. |
