Default "master", "mastering", and other such terms

If you think I'm crazy for griping about the way the recording industry uses
terminology without regard for common sense, please read the following:

Link mistake? It's about "blended malt."

I reckon that the OP's trying to point out the way that the recording
industry doesn't use "master" and "mastering" in the same way as the
general public, just as the Whisky industry doesn't use "blended" and
"single malt" to mean what the public expects. It's jargon, in other words.
