Hello!
I am interest in modify my line preamplifier which is a common cathode
(cathode bypass in the gain stage) with cathode follower.

I'm consider to try the Allen Wright Super Liear Cathode Follower
Concept based on his tube preamp cookbook. What's you suggest to use
for the SLCF (top and bottom) -- Tube (7788 pentode) or Depletion
MOSFET?

Try White Cathode.

Cathode follower alone will not have voltage gain.
