Default Focusrite ISA topology

Hi does anyone know what preamp topology do focusrite ISA micpres use?
I undestand that they use a NE5534 opamp with an input transformer and
opamps on the output...
Is that correct?

That's certainly similar to many Neve preamps and that is Focusrite's heritage.
I don't know for sure though.

I thought Neve was Xformers in and out with transistor in class A....

I had an ISA428 apart several years ago & my recollection is that
there are Lundahls on the output as well. I don't remember seeing
5534s in there, but whatever it is, it didn't stick in my memory. I
think I would have remembered 5534s because that seems atypical of a
Rupert Neve design.

So is "LL1598" a custom part that Lundahl makes for Focusrite?
Not listed on their website. Might it be something like the LL1538?

That must be a typo (...or an artifact from bitmap compression)

Quote from this link: http://www.focusrite.com/product/isa_428/reviews/ :
"The box is pro inside and out with Lundahl 1538 input transformers, as
originally spec'd by early Focusrite designs."

The older Neves were. Neve was fairly quick to adopt the 5534 though.

If I remember correctly Mr. Neve had a hand in designing the 5534 and you can find them in the vast majority of the Neve 8078 desks out there [again, if I remember correctly, there are only like 9 or 10 fully discrete 8078's].

The original ISA-110 bears little resemblence to the modern version of the unit... totally different parts and build quality [from what I've seen]. Our tech works on them from time to time and constantly moans about how the traces are too small and pop off the circuit boards when he has to work on them.

The current iteration of Focusrite has less than nothing to do with the original "Rupert Neve Co." nor does it have anything to do with the new firm "Rupert Neve Designs"... they're all way different entities.
