Help wiring 1st floor of house
Need advice, as I understand about 25% of what I need to...
We currently have no ceiling and no walls... so now is the time for running speaker wire. We currently use an mp3 player and 80% of the time children's music is blaring in our house... We have nice speakers in our living room (almost untouched by remodel). And we'd like to run wire to our new kitchen/sitting area/and maybe out onto our deck. This is where the questions being, and any assistance would be wonderful. I assume I need a speaker selector. I figure we'd just go with an additional 6 speakers (2 in kitchen, 2 in sitting room, two for deck). We're not audiophiles... so I was looking at the Sima SSW 4 Speaker Selector. We'd then run 4 speakers through one volume control and the deck speakers through another. 1st question: Is that a good plan? Now the kitchen and sitting area are open. A bar with stools separate the two areas. If the following below was a crude representation... | stove b | | a | | r | ----sink-------- amazing view here Where would you put the 4 speakers? like: s s s s or: s s s s Or are 4 speakers not enough? The room is 38' wide. Or would 2 be enough? Thanks in advance for any help. |

sounds crazy to me! I've never done this sort of thing but have you
considered using some kind of wireless wi-fi thing instead of all that cabling. is the mp3 player computer based or portable or CD mp3? |
