Most dynamic omnis seem to have large treble boosts or serious rough
response wiggles.

I talked to someone at Shure when they discontinued the SM80 omni
condenser mike. The guy said they sold so many thousand SM81s that
year, and nine SM80s.

There's a nice RE55 on eBay at the moment.

Sennheiser MD211 is hard to outdo. Durable too, one was used for two-way
communication during a mine rescue. Great for vox at 8 inches with a foam
windscreen.

The MD211 is a fine omni but lacks the low-end response of the RE55.
