Because the one part of the system which is *guaranteed* to be
non-neutral is the speaker system. There is no way to give generalised
opinions on loudspeakers, since you don't know what kind of room
they're going into, nor do you know the particular preferences of the
listener. Since no loudspeaker is truly neutral, personal preference
matters here.
