It is very obvious that Scottie is stuck in middle management with no hope
out. Besides, his kneepads have worn out so servicing his superiors is very
painful these days. And of course, there is that "boyfriend" remark that hit
wayyyy too close to home. Scottie probably hasn't slept since then.
