I have a set, would like to replace the fabric tops, but people always
say they are the best sounding speakers they've ever heard.

I especially critical of bass, as I'm a professional string bass
player,
and I despise the Thump movement, which does not sound like a bass.
These have clear low end.

Can I get new fabric covers.

I have made many speakers and used different fabrics. Mostly the fabric should
have some small holes or enough that some light passes through. I mostly prefer slightly
strechy material. I select colors and even paint the fabric if necessary.
Apply damp and any fabric will shrink.

I think I heard the speaker once in a DISCO of all things.
It was sort of a fill in speaker at the side of the room in Vegas many
years ago.
